Gender Bias

There seems to be a difference of opinion regarding how we spent our New Years.

Katie's version:

We decided to stay home and enjoy it alone together. We put the baby to bed and sat by the fire. We talked about what a crazy year it had been and our hopes for the year to come. We solved the world's problems, drank an entire bottle of champagne, snuggled, read to each other, kissed a lot, and had a perfectly lovely time. It was, I think, the best New Year's Eve I've ever had.

Patrick's version:
We didn't really do anything.

Katie, you crack me up! I miss seeing you around - one day I will have to bake some chocolate chip pancakes and have you guys over :)

This New Years, I was completely exhausted... Nora and I watched the Canadian comedy new year's special (it's hard to explain if you're not from Canada, so I won't try to explain further) and then went to bed at 10:30. In order to make up for not staying up till midnight I let her sleep in my bed. I would say it was a pretty quiet night, she thought it was the "BEST NEW YEAR'S EVER!" Funny how these things work out eh? HOpe you and the fam are well :)
