I MATCHED!
You guys! Someone actually picked me! There is a cohort of OB/GYNs that came together as a group and said, "Katie! We want her. We think she'll make a good OB and we want to be a part of her training. Put her down as a Yes."
I'm a Yes! I'm going to be a doctor (if I pass my Medicine shelf at the end of the month, which will require exactly 13 more Marathon Rounds) and then I get to be an OB/GYN resident! ME!
What is an almost-OB resident going to do with her post call afternoon, you might ask? Well, I just got out of the shower where I scrubbed off all that worry and sweat and abject terror that I've been carrying around the last few days/weeks/months. Now I am in pajamas and considering watching an episode of House, where I will undoubtedly beat them to the diagnosis because HELLO! FUTURE OB/GYN HERE!
