Gratitude and Love

I am still pregnant, unfortunately for my skin, back, and attitude, but which allowed Patrick a final Father Of One Father's Day. We spent the day lounging around, snuggling, baking a cake and making our own icing, licking most of it away ourselves. Patrick cooked his own Father's Day dinner, crab legs and steak.

We become a family of four on Friday (or early Saturday if my body continues it's refusal to cooperate with anything related to this pregnancy) and, as I fall asleep on this Father's Day, it occurs to me that I live a most blessed life. This husband and father next to me, stealing my covers, getting Colin all wound up just before bed. This job to start tomorrow, where I get to do exactly what I have been working toward. This toddler down the hall, forcing life and love into every crevasse of the day. This baby in my belly, telling me a thousand times a day how my body is creating a new and joyous life. I owe so much of my happiness to this man.

Happy Father's Day to one of the best around.

I'll be thinking of you on Friday! Can't wait to hear that baby girl arrived safe and sound, and that the little family of FOUR is doing well.
P.S.- due to your overall awesome-ness, you deserve all the happiness in the world! :)

As I pump :-) I am thinking of you. I hope everything goes well with the delivery. I'm so excited for you to start OB and so happy that you will be here at IU! You are going to love it.
